The championship is scheduled to take place on March 17 and 18 at the Kampung Entabuan Futsal Courts and Tenom Futsal Courts located in the district.

Tenom UMNO Youth Movement Chief, Jamawi Jaafar said that the tournament is offering attractive cash prizes, trophies and medals to the teams finishing in the top four of their respective categories.

The champions for both men and women categories will take home RM1,000 cash plus trophy and medals, while the second-placed finishers will receive RM700 cash plus trophy and medals, whereas the two teams tied for third place will receive RM300 cash and medals each.

Jamawi added there will be several novelty prizes to be awarded, namely the Best Team Award with RM200 cash, while Best Player, Best Goalkeeper and Top Goalscorer will each receive RM100 cash.

He continued that the tournament is organised to unearth hidden local talents especially in futsal as well as to strengthen relations among the district’s youths through sports.
