Indulge with 5th Avenue Bistro & Café's latest ‘Wine, Dine’

KOTA KINABALU: Experience an evening of pure indulgence with 5th Avenue Bistro & Café signature dishes at its latest ‘Wine and Dine.’

The promotion which started on March onwards, priced at RM118+ per person includes a 330ml bottle of wine bottle of wine (RM98+ without wine).

Its Head of Chef, Kevin McDonald George said that he and his team have put together a sumptuous menu consisting of his signature dishes to give diners an exclusive dining experience.

“The Wine & Dine menu start with an amuse-bouche followed by beef tataki served with rocket spinach, walnut and balsamic reduction, a selection of main courses to choose from either grilled lamb rack with black pepper red wine sauce, pan-fried salmon with lemon mustard sauce or stuffed chicken breast with risotto and mushroom herb sauce, and followed by a cheese platter as dessert.”

Jesselton Diner’s cardholders are entitled to 10 per cent discount for this promotion and for those who wish to join the dining membership, may sign up by purchasing the card at RM50 which then receive RM50 cash voucher (one voucher) and able to enjoy 10 per cent discount on a la carte order as well as able to get member price for selected promotional items.

Other new items highlighted are the latest 5th Avenue Bistro & Café’s additional a la carte dishes such as spaghetti marinara, spaghetti alfredo, chicken popcorn, tortilla chips with cheese sauce, macon and cheese with pork bacon and pork risotto with mushroom.

Chef Kevin started his culinary career in his 20s where his first job was at an international hotel in Singapore for two years and continue working with his passion in culinary at several five-star hotels and resorts, as well as few other bistro and cafes in Kota Kinabalu.

This young chef from Keningau prefers to work as a team and open for feedback and opinion from others to improve his skills and standard in preparing his dishes.

To get inspiration for a new recipe, Chef Kevin would normally dine around and did several types of researches on the latest food trends.

From the time when he started to work at 5th Avenue Bistro and Café last year, he is constantly evaluating his customers’ feedback on his dishes and try his best to meets the customer’s expectations on the dishes that he prepared, as well as rotating the menu every two to three months to create more innovative food promotion.

5th Avenue is a non-halal Bistro Cafe serving pork which has three food and beverage outlets such as the all-day dining Café at the first floor, western Bistro and Fun Pub both at the ground floor level.

The Café serves mainly local fusion specialties which available all day from 8am till 12 midnights, while the Bistro serving western food for lunch, high tea and dinner.

The fun pub has a chilling and warm atmosphere for patrons to unwind after a long working day which also offers a pool table and dart facilities. – By Vesta Vanessa Jsol
