KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Oriental Hotel here has prepared a tantalizing spread of local and international delicacies for the on-going fasting month.

Called the Sinar Ramadhan Buffet, the 150-item spread is being offered at an ‘extremely competitive’ price of RM88 per head, and RM10 cheaper if guests take advantage of the pre-paid vouchers.

“Our Ramadhan offerings are all about variety from the much-loved traditional delicacies such as beef tuhau, Sarawak laksa, asam pedas and satays to international cuisines including Irish lamb stew, Italian pasta, seafood boulla and chicken casseroles,” said the hotel’s General Manager Vincent Chen.

On the price, he said: “We feel it’s important to match our prices with people’s affordability, it’s becoming competitive with a lot of hotels and with the positive market outlook, we are expecting to see an increase of people for our Ramadhan buffet this year.”

The Ramadhan offerings started from May 17 until 15 June 2018, featuring over 150 delicious delicacies specially prepared by Chef Rozlee Kee with his highly experienced team.

“For the convenience of Muslim customers, we also prepared separate prayer rooms for men and women at the fourth floor,” he said. Apart from the Ramadhan buffet, the hotel is also offering Sahur buffet starting at 1-5am at RM35.00 per adult. – By Mohd Izham B. Hashim
