11th June, 2018

By JAMES LEONG

SANDAKAN: State Youth and Sports Minister Frankie Poon visited the Sandakan Archery Range at the Sandakan Sports Complex on Saturday.

Poon, who was accompanied by his officers, was taken on a tour of the range by Sabah Archery Association Sandakan branch chairman Tay Tzu Kiong.

The Minister was briefed by Tay on the activities of the association and on the sport.

Poon told Tay and his committees that he would look into requests brought to his attention including improving the general condition of the archery range here.

The minister also tried out his archery skills during the visit. He encouraged the Association’s local branch to make greater efforts to promote archery and produce more talents to represent the State.
