Ambank to launch more campaigns for online banking

KUALA LUMPUR: Ambank (M) Berhad (AmBank) will introduce more exciting campaigns in the future in a bid to popularise its online banking platform, AmOnline.

The latest campaign is the ePromo, where customers can enjoy 4.28 per cent per annum for eight months when they place an eFixed Deposit or eTerm Deposit-i via AmOnline. The ePromo runs till July 31, 2018.

Customers will also get to enjoy AmOnline’s new features, such as online credit card applications and interactions with a chatbot named Amy.

Group chief executive officer of AmBank Group, Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir, said: “This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to add to the digital push, increase the utilisation of internet banking, and reduce cheque issuances in support of Bank Negara Malaysia’s agenda to move towards a cashless society.”

AmBank’s last campaign, the AmOnline Win a Mini Campaign, was launched to reward new and existing AmOnline users. It ran from Jan 8 till Apr 15.

Francis Ung Woei Seng, 44, from Bintangor, Sarawak, received the grand prize – a brand-new Mini Cooper Amplified Edition – at a prize presentation ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur on July 2.

Daily prizes worth RM100 were also given to five winners throughout the campaign period.

The winners – comprising shortlisted customers who successfully answered a simple question – were randomly selected based on an automated system. –Bernama
