Five women arrested for providing sex at Inanam massage parlour

10th August, 2018

KOTA KINABALU: Five women including three Chinese nationals were arrested for managing and offering sex services at a massage parlour in Inanam on Wednesday.

Sabah police anti-vice unit (D7) from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) raided the premises at 10pm during Ops Noda, an ongoing operation focused on cracking down on prostitution.

Kota Kinabalu police chief ACP Habibi Majinji said the raids were based on public tip-offs.

“Two local women, a 25-year-old from Keningau and a 68-year-old from Sandakan, are believed to have acted as caretakers for the parlour and its illicit activity.

“The three women from China, aged 34, 38 and 41 years old, who came to Sabah with valid working permits had offered extra services for their willing customers,” he said.

All the women are now under police custody at the Karamunsing police headquarters where they are being investigated under Section 373 and 372B of the Penal Code which bears a jail term of up to 15 years including a fine if convicted. – By Jonathan Nicholas
