Junz: Do away with unnecessary red tape

 

KOTA KINABALU: Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Junz Wong wants to cut off unnecessary red tape to improve the delivery system of the Fisheries Department.

He stressed this during a meeting on Tuesday with the department including its agencies-Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia, Ko-Nelayan and Sabah Area Fishermen Association (PNK) president.

Wong also assured the interests of all parties will be looked into especially issues concerning subsidised diesel and jetty approval.

They also discussed the seafood export licencing, deep sea licence approval, fishermen allowances and PNK future. Wong is confident the future of the fishery sector in Sabah will be thriving after the fruitful meeting. – By Paul Mu
